Springfield Welding & Manufacturing Co. Inc.
Metal fabrication is the building and assembly of metal structures by cutting, bending, welding, shearing, forming, and/or machining. It is a value added process that involves the construction of machines and structures from steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.
At Springfield Welding the metal fab process begins with a bid or proposal based on drawings or sketches supplied by the customer. Our in-house engineering staff then create volumetric 3D drawings along with an estimate to give a visual breakdown of the cost to fabricate.
After the quote is accepted, shop drawings are generated. Metal fabrication is truly an art-form, and projects may vary in completion time anywhere from 1 day to 8 weeks depending on the type of project and scope of work.
Our typical and most common fabrication processes include:
Beams and Columns
Handrails and Guardrails
Metal Stairs and Landings
Platforms and Catwalks
Gates and Bollards
We also have experience with non-common fabrication:
Art /Beautification Concept Structures
Full Conveyor Systems and Assembly + Hoppers/Scrubbers
Food Grade Stainless Steel Housings and Components
Carts and Other Industrial Components used in Manufacturing Environments
We provide Project Management, Design/Build Solutions, and Onsite Installation through Mobile Welding as needed. We also work with local steel erectors for jobs that require it.
